Power Tale #7—How to Reach People for Christ shows a powerful way to build your faith as you learn to allow the Holy Spirit to minister from within you to people who need Jesus. “24 As the Lord’s servant, you must not quarrel. You must be kind toward all, a good and patient teacher, 25 who is gentle as you correct your opponents, for it may be that God will give them the opportunity to repent and come to know the truth. 26 And then they will come to their senses and escape from the trap of the Devil, who had caught them and made them obey his will.” 2 Timothy 2:24-26 Good News Translation (GNT)
Practical ways to reach people for Christ
Believers must keep a teachable spirit and remember where they came from when ministering to the lost. 2 Corinthians 4:4 states, the god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers until God’s knowledge shines into their life through you to bring the knowledge to them so they can make a decision to escape from the trap of the devil.
Your ministry begins with going with others like Jesus sent them out two by two. Preferably you should go with an experienced person at winning the lost and has been used of God with tangible results. My personal thought to simply go to a public area and begin sharing with people you do not know. My reasoning is to overcome the unknown. This may seem strange but it is easier than talking to family and others you know socially, and a good place because you will probably never see them again.
It’s as simple as keeping some Christian tracts with you. When you are getting gas for your car and there is someone next to you begin with a simple introduction of yourself and say, “Could I give you a tract? It shares in it how my life was changed by accepting Jesus as my Savior.” Through the years we have made our own tracts with our own contact information and an invite to the church. Remember that the Lord has gone before you and will prepare your way. As you take the step of faith please let us know on our blog about your experience and God’s testimony through you. Amen!
